Working with my friends from Mos Scocious, I created this poster using Adobe Illustrator to promote an upcoming show they had on their tour this year. I was thinking about neon lights when I made it. Scared Panda is a new Chicago t-shirt company featuring designs from local artists pertaining to the culture of the city. They donate 10% of shirt profits to local charities chosen by the t-shirt designers. I created this design for them, to illustrate the argument of which city’s pizza is better; New York thin crust or Chicago deep dish ?

10% of the sales of this American Apparel t-shirt go to The Anti-Cruelty Society; For more than 100 years, the Anti-Cruelty Society has been committed to serving the needs of companion animals and the humans who care for them.

Working with Eric Frankel, the art director I worked with previously on Sturcturally Sound, I developed these conceptual logos for the independent sci-fi film, Bowshock. Also included in the gallery below are the logos in patch mock-ups- they may be a part of the costume design.

Adapted from Gwendolyn Brook’s poem, We Real Cool, The Pool Players is an animated short visualizing the poem, with Brooks’ voice heard as she recites her famous classic. Created with Adobe After Effects, Illustrator, and Photoshop.

Boomie, a character for the sequel to JAMS, created in pencil and then modeled in polygons with Autodesk 3DS Max. Part of a series of characters for my short animation.

I created this illustration for the Framed: The World of Comics 2009-10 exhibition at Columbia College Chicago. Time Owl is a character I’ve been developing for almost a year now. Currently he’s being sculpted into a 3D model in 3DS Max to be animated- more on that on my Twitter. Hit the gallery to see the ink stage prior to the Photoshop finish.

A series of short promotional web spots for Veoba, an upcoming band-management service for musicians to use as an online resource. These were created in the summer of 2009 while interning at RPM Visual Media in Chicago using Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator. An advertising concept that I worked on with Gene Han while interning at RPM Visual Media for subsidiary company, VIRO. Two concepts were pitched, both corporate and university demographics targeted. Storyboards created with pencil and Photoshop.

A few prop designs for Structurally Sound, a student film from Columbia’s Practicum program, used on-screen in the film, including a newspaper and two posters. Worked with art director Eric Frankel to develop, refine, and finish these designs. Hit up the gallery to see them used in the film.
