Mos Scocious Album Artwork

+ Launch Mos Scocious Album Art Gallery
Designed for Chicago’s local freak-funk band Mos Scocious and their debut album, Ibble Dabble. This project was a collaboration between me and London-based illustrator Tom Baxter. Baxter created the initial illustration, which I compiled and colored, then prepped for print. Hit the gallery below to see the art in development.
“Structurally Sound” Concept Artwork

+ Launch Concept Art Gallery
A series of artwork created for 2009 Columbia College Practicum Film Sturcturally Sound- conceptual designs for the sets; a basement and the smaller room within it. I worked with Eric Frankel, the art director, to get an idea for what they wanted and corresponded with refinements. Illustrations were used to translate the director’s vision into the finished sets.
JAMS Short Animation
An animation I created in Maya and After Effects. A story of the evolution of technology and how we can revive older equipment and fuse it with the new to create a fusion of something amazing. Check out the making-of video for a look at the process. Sound editing was done in GarageBand with a track by Louis Armstrong and The Advantage. I also designed and modeled the characters.
Liam in Amsterdam Illustration

+ Launch Liam in Amsterdam Illustration Gallery
This illustration was created from a reference photo taken in Amsterdam of my close friend Liam Hodges, who I traveled to Amsterdam with while studying abroad in the UK. The figure in the center is me taking the photograph. I’ve included the rough linework in the gallery below as well as the finished art and the reference photo – notice the creative change I made ? Drawn with Adobe Photoshop and Corel Painter.

Turkwich Illustrated Manual
D&AD Brief- Sci-Fi Genre Book Jackets

The idea is to re-brand aging Science Fiction novels by creating new jacket artwork. Using the influence of Milton Glaser and his retro feel, I designed these illustrations to appeal to young adults and elders. Created as an entry for the 2008 D&AD Awards while studying at Westminster Uni, London.
Pirates & Pills Opening Titles
This is the intro title sequence to Pirates & Pills, a film from Columbia College Chicago’s 2007 Practicum program. Working with a few others, (Scott Hanson, Ben Christie, Max Moore) we created this title intro for the film using Adobe After Effects and Photoshop, which was later submitted to Cannes International Film Festival.
12th Planet Short Animation
The fabled 12th planet returns to our galaxy in 2012, decimating our home of Earth in its disastrous path. I focused on using sound as a narrative in a quick cause-and-effect animation, and rendering believable, realistic looking planets with the help of bump mapping. Modeled with Autodesk Maya and animated in Adobe After Effects. Sound by Kris Trindl (aka BluBlockr).
